A Basic Mod game extends normal Civilization V by adding or modifying game elements. Select
this option if your mod uses the normal game civilizations, even if they are modified.
A Total Mod radically changes Civilization V by replacing many elements of the game. Select
this option if your mod replaces normal game civilizations.
A scenario is a pre-built world, typically designed to simulate a fictional or historical situation.
This game type can also be used to import an existing game into GMR. Just make sure that the player
who created the game hosts it on GMR on his/her turn.
In order to make a scenario GMR game, we'll need the initial save file. Just start up the scenario, save while it's still the first turn,
and select the file below. The save file is in My Documents\My Games\Sid Meier's Civilization V\ModdedSaves\single on a PC or
~/Documents/Aspyr/Sid Meier's Civilization 5/ModdedSaves/single on a Mac.
Other game options, such as max players or DLC, will be available once you've created your game.
